I am a Certified Project Lead the Way (PLTW) teacher in Introduction to Engineering and Principles of Engineering. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University's Mechanical Engineering College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. In 2014 I received my Certification in Technology Education scoring a 98 on the Certification Exam. In 2015 I received green belt certification in Lean Six Sigma and have been successful in helping students gain their green belts in LSS certification as well. Experience

After successfully completing my degree, I worked in the field of engineering for more than 20 years as a Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and Asset Manager. From 1997 to 2005 I owned and operated my own engineering and fabrication company. Since 2014 I have been a high school engineering teacher and Engineering Department Head. My goal, my passion, and my job, is to prepare 9th-12th grade Engineering students for Engineering courses at the University level in the subjects of Engineering including the Engineering Design Process to solve problems, Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD drafting software, Technical Drawing/Drafting, reading dimensions, Isometric Sketching, multi-view drawing, Simple Machines and the Physics behind simple machines, VEX Robotics including programming in Robot C language, Electronics and electronic circuit prototyping, and technical writing. I coach a robotics team at my school and have taken them to regional meets 2 times and national meets 1 time.
