I come from a long line of teachers and professors, so I naturally love teaching and tutoring. I have tutored many subjects, including middle school math, ESL/ELL, English, and Mandarin Chinese. However, as I am originally from China, I have a preference towards teaching the languages of English and Mandarin Chinese. I am a native Chinese speaker, so I can teach advanced levels of Mandarin Chinese, including Mandarin Chinese 1, 2, 3, and 4. I am patient, detailed, and I like to help my students gain the confidence they need to be successful. I have a bachelor's degree in Economics from Nankai University. I have always been a good student, and believe that even as a teacher, I learn from my students as much as they learn from me. I have experience teaching Americans and Europeans Chinese at the MTI International School in Tianjin, China. I have lived in Houston for more than 4 years, and love the warm weather, especially compared to the cold in northern China. In my free time, I enjoy many activities including cooking, reading, music, movies, and tennis. I also enjoy activities around Houston, including going to the zoos, parks, museums, and theaters. I love all the fun Houston has to offer!
